  3.    The file PPSREF01.TXT is a list of recent medical articles related 
  4.  to Post Polio Syndrome. I've accumulated the list over the last year or so
  5.  through accesses to Medline via Grateful Med. The list is representative
  6.  though not necessarily exhaustive. I was advised that it would be
  7.  acceptable to repost this information as long as I deleted the article
  8.  abstracts, which I have done. The intent is simply to provide information
  9.  on PPS to those who need it.

  11.    As far as the list itself is concerned, UI is the Medline number of
  12.  the article, and I think the other entries are self explanatory. The
  13.  articles themselves are available in the specific journals listed in
  14.  the SO entry line, and should be available in most medical libraries.
  15.  Most of the articles are also available by mail through the Loansome
  16.  Doc facility of Medline; abstracts of the articles are available on
  17.  Medline; information on Medline etc. is available by Internet gopher
  18.   at  gopher.nlm.nih.gov. I have no affiliation with any of these
  19.  entities.

  21.    The articles are written by medical professionals using medical
  22.  terminology, but the review articles especially are informative for
  23.  even us 'non medical professional' folk. Start with one of the
  24.  review articles and work your way from there.
